Finance secretary rejects proposed VAT hike
Finance permanent secretary Somchai Sujjapongse has rejected the National Legislative Assemblyâ€™s (NLA) proposal for a 1% increase in the value-added tax (VAT), saying it does not suit the present economic circumstances.
